Hetoh Borders and Boundries course

About This Course...

The 'Borders and Boundaries' course (2-days) covers the therapeutic relationship in detail. It is essential that we have a clear understanding and practice of communication, listening and the relationship between practitioner and patient.

Welcome to Hetoh

Can you meet the challenges of professional Osteopathic practice in a difficult economic climate and a changing world?

You may be seeing an increase in lower back pain and stress related complaints in your clinics. In Oriental Medicine this is not so surprising as these problems often involve fear and specifically fear for the future.

Whilst there is a tendency for us all to batten down the hatches now is the time to invest in ourselves as practitioners.

Our courses are designed to help you:

  • Deepen your understanding of the body
  • Improve palpation skills and develop new techniques
  • Work with a better posture and have more stamina
  • Improve your ability to ‘listen’ both physically and mentally
  • Have enhanced satisfaction with your work
  • Integrate Chinese and Oriental Medicine with Osteopathy
  • Have clarity within the therapeutic relationship
  • Attain relevant CPD hours

Patients who have experienced this style of treatment report enhanced satisfaction and results. Our experience is that this will help repeat business and referrals.

When Karen Robinson was President of the British Osteopathic Association it was clear that the majority of complaints and investigations focused around communication with the patient and therefore involved a conflict in the relationship. Very little of this extremely important area is taught to students or available postgraduate. This course has been designed specifically to fill this gap.
